COVID-19 At-Home Test — the first at-home COVID-19 test COVID-19 rapid antigen test will utilize computer vision technology in a smartphone to interpret and display testing results digitally. There is no need for a prescription, a laboratory, or a lengthy wait for results.


Fremont, CA: BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) (NYSE: BDX), a global medical technology leader, has declared that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the BD Veritor. COVID-19 At-Home Test — the first at-home COVID-19 test COVID-19 rapid antigen test will utilize computer vision technology in a smartphone to interpret and display testing results digitally. There is no need for a prescription, a laboratory, or a lengthy wait for results.


This new rapid, digitally read lateral flow antigen self-test was developed by BD to make COVID-19 testing quicker for people to complete in the privacy and safety of their own homes. The test will first be made available to businesses, schools, and governments that want to provide a self-testing option for their employees or students.
