Winnie Chan Wang, FounderMindful healing starts from the heart. Anchored in this conviction, Mindful Healing Heart cherishes the intricate connection between soul, mind and body as the cornerstone of holistic recovery.
With ‘love as medicine’ as its guiding principle, the company perceives every moment of pain not as an obstacle but a valuable opportunity to explore the depths of one’s true essence. This philosophy facilitates a transformative journey of self-discovery and healing by integrating the time-honored wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture with guided breathwork in the quantum healing field. This combination seeks to dissolve energy blockages and encourage the natural, unimpeded flow of ‘qi’ or life force throughout the body, steering individuals toward reclaiming their natural state of completeness.
The brain behind this is Winnie Chan Wang. With a computer science degree from MIT, Wang has always viewed the world through a binary lens of ones and zeros. The human body, in this perspective, functions similarly— when the bodily function works perfectly, energy flows and if there’s a break, that flow stops.
“In traditional Chinese medicine, where there is no flow, there is pain. So, as an energy healer with an engineering background, I feel immensely privileged to pinpoint areas of stagnation and restore fluidity,” says Wang, founder.
Acupuncture is a key modality offered by Mindful Healing Heart to foster a mind-body alignment. Despite its proven effectiveness, acupuncture is often underappreciated as a remedy for stress, anxiety and insomnia. This technique is predicated on the understanding that emotional disturbances can manifest physically, creating blockages in our energy flow. Acupuncture intervenes by ‘flushing’ the system—using needle insertions to release and realign energy pathways.

However, the journey to wellness is not without obstacles, primarily those imposed by financial and insurance barriers, making such healing inaccessible to many. This realization prompted Wang to establish two organizations, Heart Center LA, a monthly membership to group healing experiences of various modalities and Compassionate Transformation Community, a non-profit to promote alternative modalities to mental health such as qigong, reiki, and Native American circles. The mission is to equip individuals with self-care techniques, enhancing their mental wellness.
Wang’s philosophy is simple— just as sunlight can melt ice cream, the simple act of breathing with love (deep inhalations and exhalations) can melt internal blockages. This is the cornerstone of the holistic healing approach at Mindful Healing Heart, emphasizing even the smallest actions can catalyze significant transformations.
